Mosquito Surveillance

The District maintains a newtork of carbon dioxide traps (pictured left) as well as New Jersey light traps (pictured below) throughout the county. Mosquitoes are collected and identified weekly and the numbers are compared with historical averages to determine what control measures are necessary and where.
