Area To Be Treated for Mosquitoes: Oakley

Due to the high number of mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District will be using truck-mounted, ultra-low volume equipment to control adult mosquitoes on the evening of August 9th, 2024 in the following area(s): Oakley
 

The area to be treated is Big Break Regional Trail from Piper Ln. on the west to Marsh Creek on the east and behind the homes bordering I.S.D property.

The public health pesticide to be used is Zenivex E4, RTU applied at a rate of 1.5 ounces per acre by truck-mounted, ultra-low volume equipment. The Adult Mosquito Control operation is planned to be conducted between dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m., weather permitting.
