The Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District maintains a rabies risk reduction program by providing an inspection to residents whose
property indicates evidence of skunk invasion, such as property damage or an established den. We do not trap skunks that simply release odor or are passing through an area. Trapping only occurs when an inspection deems it absolutely necessary and that all criteria have been met.
